How we got here

Franknai launched in late 2023, during the first wave of generative AI. We built on OpenAI's text-davinci-003, rebuilt on GPT‑4 when it arrived, and for a while we were among a small group of tools showing what automated content planning could actually do.

The market moved faster than anyone expected. What was a product in 2023 became a feature in 2024 and a single prompt in 2025. Capabilities that took us months to build now ship by default inside tools our customers already pay for. Demand for a standalone platform like ours fell away, and the numbers left little room for interpretation.

At the same time, our infrastructure came under repeated denial‑of‑service attacks. Absorbing them meant hosting bills that ran far beyond what the platform earned, month after month.

We looked seriously at the alternatives — narrowing the product, raising prices, finding a buyer. None of them produced a version of Franknai that could sustain itself. Rather than let the service quietly degrade, or keep charging for a product we could no longer properly support, we chose to close cleanly and on our own terms.

We've arranged for unused Franknai credits to be claimed on two partner platforms, so the balance you paid for still goes somewhere useful.

What happens now

20 September 2026: The platform is offline. Sign‑in, content generation, scheduling, publishing and the public API have all stopped.
Immediately: All recurring billing has been cancelled. You will not be charged again, and no action is needed to stop a subscription.
Next few weeks: Credit claim instructions sent by email, and a claim page published at app.franknai.com.

Can I still log in?

No. The application and its API were shut down on 20 September 2026, and every address on this domain now leads to this page.

What happens to my unused credits?

They can be claimed on two partner platforms. We'll email you with instructions and publish a claim page here at app.franknai.com within the next few weeks. You don't need to do anything in the meantime.

Is Franknai coming back?

No. This is a permanent closure, not a pause.
